Murray River Classic

The Serbian Golf Club Geelong and the Serbian Australian Golf Club ACT are delighted and proud to announce the launch of our new annual golf event, to be hosted in the picturesque Murray River region. We warmly invite you to join us each September for this exciting annual golfing experience.

Please note that places are strictly limited to 40 players. Once the field is full, any additional registrations will be placed on a waiting list.

COSTS

  • $100- Golf Only Walking Package (excludes accommodation, breakfast and meal voucher).
  • $150- Golf Only Carting Package (excludes accommodation, breakfast and meal voucher).
  • $365 - Twin Share Walking Package (includes accommodation, breakfast and meal voucher).
  • $415 - Twin Share Carting Package (includes accommodation, breakfast and meal voucher).
  • $485 - Single Walking Package (includes accommodation, breakfast and meal voucher).
  • $535 - Single Carting Package (includes accommodation, breakfast and meal voucher).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following are the terms and conditions the organising committee places on each player.

  • Competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland, together with such local rules as are in force on the course over which the competition takes place. If a dispute arises at any point, it shall be decided by the Match Committee, whose decision is final.
  • The general rule is “Play the Ball as it lies”, unless the weather & course conditions are such that the club or committee feels that “Preferred Lies” are required on the fairways or through the Tee, but this will be announced.
  • Players handicaps may be adjusted by the Match Committee at any time if they feel the players ability does not match the handicap.
  • In the event of a tie the winners will be decided by count back.
  • The Match Committee may in the event of bad weather shorten the tournament.
  • If entries are excessive the Match Committee reserves the right to ballot out according to date of receipt of entry form.
  • Competitors will be made honorary members for both days.
  • The format for both days will be Stableford. Scoring will be calculated by the stroke index of each hole from 1 to 18.
  • Golf attire to be worn during play. This includes golf shoes, tailored pants or shorts and shirts with collar. Predominately white socks to be worn when wearing shorts.
  • Maximum handicap is 54 for male competitors and 54 for female competitors, unless a player does not have a current AGU or Social Club handicap in which case he / she will play off a maximum handicap of 18, and this may be adjusted by the committee as they see fit depending on the scores submitted.
  • No entry will be counted unless payment has been made and registration form completed.
  • No refunds will be made after the Friday 31st July 2026.
  • All registrations close by Friday 31st July 2026 at 5PM AEST.
  • To assist us with deposit payments any early bookings and payments will be greatly appreciated.
